This project will create more than housing. It will bring together 115 affordable, market, and social housing units with dedicated second-stage housing for survivors of gender-based violence, welcoming community spaces, a healing garden, and on-site supports.

To bring this vision to life, ECRC is working to raise $51 million through public investment, partnerships, and community support.
We invite individuals and Institutions to contribute through donations, sponsorship, and partnerships to help make this vision a reality.

Housing at the Elmwood Hub is paired with integrated, on-site wraparound services designed to support long-term stability and wellbeing. Residents will have access to specialized supports including gender-based violence interventions, substance use awareness and recovery services, and mental health counselling. This holistic approach ensures individuals and families are supported beyond housing alone.
The Hub will offer access to empowerment-focused services that support residents in building independence and long-term stability. This includes adult literacy classes, employment readiness and training programs, and skill-building opportunities. By connecting residents to education and employment pathways, the Hub supports individuals in strengthening their confidence, economic mobility, and overall wellbeing.
